LAVIDGE IMPACT Team Supports Healing at Hope’s Closet and New Life Center

July 30, 2025

To continue the mission of service and giving back to the greater Phoenix community, LAVIDGE IMPACT volunteers packed up and prepared for another important event.

The morning of May 11, 2025, a group of LAVIDGE employees gathered at Hope’s Closet, a thrift shop run by New Life Center, to sort, organize and stock donations to ensure that the store remained efficient and filled with items. From pricing furniture to hanging clothing on the racks, every task was performed to support those recovering from domestic violence.

New Life Center and Hope’s Closet serves a greater purpose than simply offering quality goods at affordable prices; they are ensuring those impacted by domestic and sexual violence have a safe space and resources. New Life Center offers trauma-informed programs that assist not only abuse survivors but also their families.

“Volunteering at Hope’s Closet is one of my favorite IMPACT events to attend because we get to support such an important cause," said Brooke Sanches, public relations account coordinator. “It is a great opportunity to support survivors and their families during such a difficult time.”

Hope’s Closet directly supports New Life Center’s mission to ensure safety, support and services to survivors of domestic violence and their children. The store generates revenue to fund the shelter’s programs, while providing affordable clothing and furniture to the community.

Opened in the early 1990s, Hope’s Closet has created a safe, dignified shopping experience space for survivors and people in the community. The store also brings awareness and education to the community about domestic and sexual violence.
