Work

Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family

It’s hard and awkward to talk to teenagers about smoking, drugs, and alcohol. But doing it is one of the most effective ways to help prevent addiction. We worked with GOYFF to create campaigns for teens and parents, providing them with new resources and information to help fight addiction.[2]

I’ve Got Something Better

Reaching teens can seem like a never-ending battle. Instead of preaching, we stopped and listened. We heard that teens have full, interesting lives.[2][3] This lead to our “I’ve Got Better Something Better” campaign that drove them to I’veGotSomethingBetter.org, where they could find exciting events and inspiring activities to do instead of drinking.

Overcome Awkward

All parents know it’s awkward to talk to teens about drugs. Our “Overcome Awkward” campaign promoted education and awareness and drove parent to download the Parent Talk Kit, a guide with steps they could take to protect loved ones from the opioid epidemic.
