LAVIDGE IMPACT Marks Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with Toy Drive

August 27, 2019

LAVIDGE IMPACT is organizing a toy drive in September to benefit Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children.

PHOENIX (Sept. 1, 2019) – LAVIDGE IMPACT, the employee volunteer and community outreach program of the Phoenix-based agency, is recognizing National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by hosting a toy drive Sept. 3rd through Sept. 26th for Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children.

Employees and friends of the full-service advertising, public relations, communications, consulting and digital marketing agency are encouraged to donate a new toy or gift card to brighten a child's day. On Sept. 27th, LAVIDGE IMPACT will visit the Foundation to help wrap the toys and other donations which may be onsite that day.

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Sandra Torre, who oversees IMPACT, said numerous toys have been donated already, including lots of items the foundation requested. "We're hopeful that we'll collect many more, and deeply appreciate everyone who participates," she said.

Torre added that IMPACT chose to benefit the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children, a 401(c)(3) non-profit foundation, because of a shared commitment to serving kids. With one child in Arizona per day receiving such a diagnosis—at an average age of 6—the need for items such as toys, books, blankets and more to include in its Sunshine Packs is significant.

Donations may be dropped off or shipped to LAVIDGE at 2777 E. Camelback Road, Suite 300, Phoenix, AZ 85016. Questions? Contact us at [email protected].
