Job Title: Public Relations Account Supervisor

Job Summary

The Public Relations Supervisor leads day-to-day client relationships and oversees the development and execution of public relations campaigns across multiple clients and industries. This role is responsible for driving media strategy, managing press outreach, and ensuring the successful execution of earned media initiatives aligned with client objectives.
The Public Relations Supervisor collaborates closely with internal teams, including account service, creative, social, and digital, to integrate PR efforts into broader marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate brings strong media relationships, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact for PR-focused accounts and initiatives
  • Develop and execute media relations strategies, including press outreach and storytelling
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and overall PR campaign execution
  • Draft and oversee the development of press materials, including press releases, media pitches, and briefing documents
  • Participate in client reporting through KPI identification, program insights and recommendations, and development of reporting materials
  • Build and maintain relationships with media, journalists, and industry influencers
  • Participate in client meetings and present PR strategies, updates, and results
  • Provide account-related oversight to junior team members, offering feedback and guidance for growth
  • Contribute to new business opportunities through proposal research, content development, and participation in presentations

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong writing and editing skills, particularly for press materials
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
  • Established relationships with media and journalists preferred
  • Understanding of integrated marketing and communications strategies

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of public relations experience in an agency or in-house environment
  • Proven experience managing media relations and executing PR campaigns
