The RoleFront-End Web Development Lead

Location: Phoenix, AZ

 

About You:

The Front-End Web Development Lead implements and delivers custom websites, web applications, and interactive campaigns across web, social and mobile as needed for Agency clients. As a Development Lead you will set and monitor quality standards, architect solutions, conduct code reviews and mentor and coach Front-End Web Developers.

Essential Functions:

  • Build interactive campaign assets and Web sites using HTML5/CSS/Vue/React/Node/JS/Angular 
  • Provide expert knowledge and processes to resolve technical issues
  • Architect front-end solutions to meet campaign and project goals
  • Mentor and coach front-end developers to improve the quality of their work
  • Participate in the hiring and recruitment of front-end development staff

Job Duties:

  • Build responsive Websites using Umbraco content management system, or other systems like WordPress or Drupal as requested by clients, to enable end-users to author and edit content
  • Deliver cross-device, cross-channel interactive campaigns through a variety of platforms and marketing automation systems
  • Work with and educate Art Directors to determine the feasibility of reproducing designs using compliant, compatible front-end development standards
  • Integrate with Web-based APls and systems using XML, JSON, Web Services and other technologies
  • Work with Application Developers to ensure integration between back-end and front-end source code
  • Develop email templates compatible with widely used email clients using responsive, mobile-first coding practices
  • Maintain and innovate standards and checklists for HTML5/CSS/JS development
  • Ensure cross-browser, cross-device compatibility through testing and quality assurance
  • Conduct code reviews with front-end developers to ensure that source code meets performance standards for simplicity, flexibility, reusability, performance, and viability
  • Assist the Interactive team in other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to handle multiple projects, relationships and tasks simultaneously
  • Strong execution and follow-up skills
  • Must recognize and adjust to change with considerable variety in the work
  • Promote and foster a positive environment of teamwork and collaboration
  • Good communicator able to distill complex ideas with command of written and spoken English with accurate use of punctuation and grammar

Requirements:

  • Five plus years of front-end development experience
  • Expert-level skills developing responsive layouts with HTML5/CSS/JSNue/React/Node/Angular
  • Experience with C#, .NET., SQL, Bootstrap
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience and technical training

Reports to: Technology Services Director;  FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt
