The Lavidge Company, an award-winning advertising and public
relations firm located in Scottsdale for 25 years. Today, the
Phoenix ad agency officially celebrates its 25th year in
business.
In celebration of this milestone, Lavidge Company employees were
whisked away to Disneyland this morning for a day of fun and
festivities. The day trip was a complete surprise to the 55
employees, who boarded a Southwest Airlines flight to Orange County
this morning.
"This agency would not be what it is today without the hard work
and creativity of our talented employees," said Bill Lavidge, CEO
of The Lavidge Company. "The fact that we incorporate our mantra
into our everyday work is why we have enjoyed success over the last
25 years. And this same belief will also propel us into the
future."
The Lavidge Company was started in 1982, and was originally
located in a one room office in downtown Phoenix. Lavidge remembers
the days before computers, where hard-working employees would work
late hours to put together proposals on their typewriters. A
professional milestone took place when dedicated agency members
pulled an all-nighter to put together an account proposal for
homebuilding titan Del Webb and presented the following day after a
sleepless night. The Phoenix ad agency went on to win the account,
cementing itself as a clear force in the industry.
Today, the Lavidge Company exists as four complementary
divisions, offering a broad array of services. In addition to the
stellar advertising department, The Lavidge Company houses Lavidge
Marketing Services, which attends to emerging companies. In 1997,
The Lavidge Company incorporated a Public Relations department,
which houses 10 team members, and represents notable clients such
as Discount Tire, Banner Health and Special Olympics Arizona. In
2006, The Lavidge Company acquired the Web division of TechServ,
thus creating The Lavidge Company Interactive, a department
specializing in Web design and content. Lavidge Interactive is made
up of eight talented individuals and works with close to 40
clients, including LifeLock, Cachet Homes and South Mountain
Community College. All together, The Lavidge Company currently
houses 55 skilled professionals.
The Phoenix ad agency represents a blue-chip client roster which
aides in attracting talented employees. Well-known clients such as
Bashas', Discount Tire, Massage Envy, Banner Health and McDonalds
are among the agency's impressive client roster.
